What We Do

Team Up For 1 Foundation (TU41) enhances the quality of life for children with
developmental disabilities, chronic and life threatening illnesses by connecting them
to the experience of team sports with teams from every competitive level – college,
high school and professional.

When it comes to connecting children with challenges to the experience of team sports, Team Up For 1 Foundation (TU41) is in a league of its own.

Running strong on a ten year winning-streak of enhancing the quality of life for children- and their families- with developmental disabilities, chronic and life-threatening illnesses, TU41 continues to engage the sports world by matching children with challenges to teams from every competitive level – college, high school and professional. When connecting a child with an adopting team, the TU41 Adoption Committee considers the following: Proximity to school, communication skills, mobility, favorite sports, and any additional details about the child’s challenges and personality. Once a match has been made, TU41 arranges a Meet and Greet, where the child meets the coach while interacting with some athletes of the adopting team.

And with a growing roster of over 1000
adopted team players, it is safe to say
that TU41 is hitting it out of the park.

Recognizing that illness has no off season, TU41 trains tirelessly to provide Sports Leadership Awards Galas, MVP Ceremonies, team activities, a variety of TU41 programs and annual events including Orioles Day at Camden Yards and Ravens Training Camp Day. TU41 also offers support programs for parents and siblings as part of caring for the child and encourages others to dive in and get involved by starting a new chapter, campus club or hosting a fundraiser.

The TU41 Team proudly acknowledges and appreciates the ongoing support and care that is received from their sponsors

Rooted in the belief that no matter what the outcome, the game is never over, the TU41 team goes
up to bat for children with challenges to give them their own chance to swing for the fences.
