ON A MISSION

Our mission is to better the quality of life by connecting children with physical and developmental disabilities, chronic and life threatening illnesses and economic hardship with all levels of competitive sports teams. All TU41 programs promote inclusion, teamwork, education and fun.

PROGRAMS

Fun is placed high on our priority list. Whether it's a day at the zoo or attending a baseball game, we ensure everyone has the opportunity to have a great time!

PROCESS

The Team Up For 1 (TU41) adoption process can be initiated by either a family or a team. Simply start by filling out our application form.

GET INVOLVED

Team Up For 1 welcomes volunteers and supporters to help make our programs successful. Please contact us to find out more about how you can help.

Our Programs

Team Up For 1’s community of children and families enjoys numerous unique moments and fun get-togethers with their teams throughout each season. We also hold Parent Committee meetings to help our community of parents to network for resources and support. Our programs are always entirely free to our children and their family members.

Signature MVP Ceremony

Every child in TU41 is officially adopted by their team at this unique event where friends and family gather with the team to honor the new “MVP”.

Players Fun Zone

TU41 children and family members enjoy a day of games and activities at one of the best indoor amusement facilities in Maryland.

Team Up For 1 Day at Oriole Park

TU41 children and family members come together to enjoy a summer pastime while being recognized on “the big screen” by the Orioles.

TU41 Day Ravens Training Camp

Team Up For 1 children and families get up close and personal with the players as practice is closed to the media and public for a very special session with TU41.

Team Up For Toys

You can help us ensure that all children receive a special toy during the Holiday season. Each November, Team Up for 1 partners with Baltimore-area elementary schools to identify children facing a variety of challenges — from illnesses to extreme poverty — they are all in need of our support.

Campus Clubs

Contact Team Up for 1 for more information about starting a chapter on your campus.

THE ADOPTION PROCESS

The Team Up For 1 (TU41) adoption process can be initiated by either a family or a team – by filling out the respective application. When TU41 receives an application, TU41 staff and volunteers begin the search to find a good match.

About us

The Team Up For 1 Foundation (TU41) connects children with challenges to the experience of team sports by matching them up with sports teams at the collegiate and high school level. TU41 also hosts group outings with professional sports teams such as the Baltimore Orioles and Baltimore Ravens and holds the annual Team Up For Toys drive each year to share the magic of giving with students from special needs schools in economically challenged neighborhoods during the holiday season.

The same self-esteem and sense of belonging that children receive from being involved in sports benefits all children.

We are Strength In Numbers

Rooted in the belief that no matter what the outcome, the game is never over, the TU41 team
goes up to bat for children with challenges to give them their own chance to swing for the fences.
